Omaha

At the beginning of June, we took a mini family vacation to Omaha.  Of course, we had to hit up the zoo!

This little girl was a trooper, especially considering how hot it was.  When we got to the zoo at 10 am, it was already 85 degrees.  When we left four hours later, it was 97.  We hit all the outdoor hot spots at the very beginning and stuck towards the air conditioning after dinner.

The carousel was the only thing Lydia did NOT enjoy.  She was all excited about picking a horse with daddy.  When it started going up and down, she wanted to switch to a bench.  When it started turning around, she wanted off/her Mommy.  I heard her crying all the way around until it stopped!  Maybe next year!

I think Lydia's favorite parts of the zoo were chasing the penguins, the alligators, trying to "tickle" the fish and octopus through the glass, and listening to a very hot tiger ROAR!

We stayed at the Ramada/Coco Key waterpark again this year.  Lydia loved going down slides with Daddy, but isn't too fond of the deeper pools, yet.

Thankfully, we were able to meet up with my friend Trista again!  Korver and Lydia are about six months apart in age, and after a little bit they warmed up to each other and loved playing together.  We also got to meet baby Turner!

Love those smiles!  It was fast and furious, but a perfect little getaway for our little family!
