Lydia - April 2016

Here's what Lydia has been up to in April:

We checked out the baby chicks at Bomgaars.  Lydia couldn't get Grandpa Moss to buy any.  He learned how to say no after YEARS of practicing with her Mommy.  (Mommy never did get her horse...)

It seems like it was another busy month for our family.  We are so ready for this week to be over because we are sick of this rainy and cold weather.  May--please bring lots of sunshine!

Sometimes on Monday nights when Daddy works late, we get to go to McDonald's and have a picnic in the basement while watching a movie!

These two LOVE each other!  They always have huge smiles and share hugs when they see each other!

The best summer toy award goes to this bubble gun I found at WalMart for $5.  Lydia loves to chase people with it, and it makes a ton of bubbles!

Daddy doesn't mind chasing Lydia, either ;-)

Lydia's favorites this month:

Strawberries, spaghetti, playing grocery store, bubble guns, "helping" to build her new swingset, her Disney princess book, making a giant mess out of her toys, going anywhere (she asks me right away every morning what we get to do that day), hiding under mounds of pillows/blankets, climbing into the car by herself, playing with dolls, helping to bake/cook

Helping to plant potatoes.  She'll be anxious to help with the rest of the garden later this week!

The swingset crew!  Thankfully, it's now further along than this.  Still have a little ways to go, yet!

And some days we don't feel like eating a single bite, so Mommy just makes me sit in my chair until she's finished!

 Lydia's dislikes this month:

Naps and potty seem to win this category every month!

I love this picture!  We had dinner at my Grandma V's last week, and Lydia decided to "help" her with some pretend makeup!

Lydia also can be a bit sneaky.  At my parents, she knows right where Grandma has the candy stashed, and that cupboard usually has a lock on it.  When it got really quiet, we found her here...trying to hide and snitch a piece ;-)

The backroom of the store is the perfect place for a tea party with Grandpa TC!

In May, we're planning on finishing Lydia's swingset/sandbox, so that will be tons of fun!  We also get to go to a cousin's birthday party, the Sioux Falls Zoo, and hopefully, Tulip Festival!  Bring on the sun and warm weather!
