Lydia is 3 months old already!!! Seriously--where has 3 months gone???
She has been in 3-6 month clothes since the beginning of March. This girl is not going to be little! Not too sure how long she is right now, but she is almost 13 1/2 pounds. Size 2 diapers...here we come!
Our little lady is eating 4.5-5 ounces of milk every 3-4 hours during the day. She doesn't like to stop in the middle of her feeding to burp--and she'll definitely let you know she's not happy! Lydia had an amazing 4-day stretch in the middle of the month where she slept ALL NIGHT. And she slept almost 11 hours straight last night! It is possible! However, normally she usually wakes up once around 3 or 4 am and will then sleep until 7 or 8.
Napping during the day is another issue. Some days Lydia does very well in taking a long nap in her crib (about an hour or hour and a half). However, most days she just cat naps if I lay her down (15-30 minutes). The little stinker will take a long nap during the day if I hold her...but then I don't accomplish much. :)
The picture above shows her favorite way to get to sleep: Mommy holding her, pipe in, and blanket covering her eyes. Lydia does not like it to be light when she's trying to sleep (just like her Mommy!).
Lydia is a pretty easy-going baby. She's starting to talk and smile SO much! I just cherish those times she wakes up and gives me the biggest smile...complete with that dimple we love. Lydia continues to love her activity mat (especially kicking at the piano & looking at herself in the mirror). She gives the biggest speeches to the tiger on her bouncy seat! Lydia wants to "exercise" all the time...she constantly wants to sit or stand up, with our help of course. We've been able to go for about 3 walks with the sporadically nice spring weather we've had. She seems to enjoy the stroller...as long as it's moving (same with the car!). Lydia also LOVES baths, but hates to get out of the tub. She seems to get crabby as it gets closer to 7 pm, especially if she hasn't taken a long nap during the day. Other than that, she isn't too fussy!
(That little grin & sparkle in her eye is going to get her--or me--in trouble someday!) |
