Fall Fun at the Farm!

Craig & Hayley decided to have a little fall get together on the farm one Sunday afternoon.  Lots of fun things to do!

We started with a hayride (okay--technically it was a straw ride, but that doesn't sound right!), and the kids thought it was hilarious when Zip climbed up to join in the fun!

Grandpa even took our wagon over the silage pile and into the field to pick some corn!

Next, the kids had to dig through some straw to find treasures!

This is one crazy bunch!!!

Finally, all the kids had a turn riding Jake!  Lydia was all smiles for about the first 10 seconds of the minute-long ride, and then she started crying.  At least she tried!

Thanks for all the fall fun!

Clay County Fair

Our original date to go to the Clay County fair got rained out, so we headed out the next evening to take in the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of the fair!

Lydia's favorite exhibit always seems to be Grandpa's Barn.  She enjoyed seeing and touching some baby animals there.

Love this picture :-)
We don't get to see Grandpa's pigs when they're this little, so she thought it was pretty neat to touch one!
Alpaca!
There was a family band playing everything from country to rock.  Lydia had fun dancing and clapping along!

Another favorite was seeing all the model trains.  Lydia had fun pointing out all the little things she saw.

After a supper consisting of French fries and mini donuts (parenting win!), Daddy and Lydia headed to play a couple of carnival games.  Lydia was excited to pick out her own ducks in order to win a prize.  She was not excited to leave the ducks behind, but thought her bubble stick and princess crown were a close second.  ;-)

Wisconsin Dells 2016

At the beginning of September, we headed to the Wisconsin Dells for a long weekend with the Ten Clays.  We've stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge the past few years, and it's a lot of fun!

We did lots of fun things...take a look!

SWIMMING!

EATING AT RESTAURANTS!

GOING TO DEER PARK!

In reality, she wasn't a huge fan of the deer eating out of her hand and ended up throwing the corn on the ground for them.  I used less anti-bacterial wipes this way :-)

FAMILY TIME!

Grandma & Grandpa TC with Lexi, Joseph, Joshua, Hannah & Lydia!

STORY TIME!

GAMES AT THE ARCADE!

Daddy even scored the jackpot and won some Paw Patrol stuffed animals!

Lydia is now the proud owner of Sky, Chase & Rubble!

MINI GOLFING!

What a fun trip!

Lydia - September 2016

We had lots of fun in September!  We had Celebration Days, a trip to the Wisconsin Dells, fall fun on the farm, and more!

Watching the Celebration Day's parade with Grandma TC
Lydia didn't want to change her clothes this particular morning, and decided to play in the tub like this while I cleaned the bathroom :-)

Lydia's favorites this month: trying to sass, roaring when she's mad (I think Daniel Tiger is to blame for this...), Shopkins, making messes, playing with cousins, Paw Patrol, helping mom, sleeping in her big girl bed, saying, "Maybe let's do something else?" 20 x's a day, singing nursery rhymes & "Thy Will be Done," reading I'll Love You Forever.

Having a party with her friends
Lydia's dislikes this month: eating any type of main dish, cleaning up her messes, little black bugs crawling/biting all over (this might be more of Mommy's dislike...), visiting the dentist.

A first: first trip to the dentist.  It was a ROARING success, as you can tell!

Love you so much, little girl!
