Bridges Bay

We were supposed to go to Bridges Bay with my family last November, but we rescheduled it due to the first blizzard of the season.  We were able to go the end of February, and all the littles had a blast!  I was a real slacker with my camera for some reason, so I stole a bunch of pics from my sister-in-laws!

Moving Crew!
A bunch of cheeseballs ready to swim!
Saturday morning cartoons!
Merritt's teaching Dan how to color :-)

Lydia - March 2016

Here's what Lydia was up to in March!

Lydia loves to play with her Daddy, especially while in the basement.  We haven't had too many days outside lately because of all the wind, rain, and cold!

Lydia's likes this month:
Anything Mickey Mouse related, playing with cousins and friends, eating at Pizza Ranch, finding Easter eggs, recognizing some shapes, finally counting from 1-10 without skipping 5 & 7, eating & baking muffins, blue fruit snacks, watching Snow White, Rapunzel, Frozen, or Cinderella.
Lydia is talking more everyday.  I swear I hear a new word constantly!  She now calls Grandma one of the following: Damma, Gamma, or Mama.  She'll say "Moss," and "Teh-Tay" for Ten Clay.  In other words, her name is now "Dee Teh-Tay!"  :-)

Lydia's dislikes this month:
Bananas, not being able to play bubbles outside, anything related to going near the potty, having to walk around the carpet during Kindermusik, and pretty much anything she can't decide for herself!

A postcard from Grandpa & Grandma M while they were in Arizona!  So excited!

Lydia has been having a lot of cuddle time this month.  We got over croup in February, but the middle of March Lydia came down with a nasty ear infection complete with lots of coughing.  And Mommy had a virus for a week that turned into bronchitis!  Oofta!  Since Lydia had croup, she has NOT been taking good naps.  She'll sleep 20-30 minutes in her crib and wake up screaming. :-(  While we were all sick, Lydia also managed to find a Vick's Vapor Rub container and slather it all over her clothes and the leather recliner!  Uh-oh!

We were sick during Kindermusik's boxcar day, but we still had made one.  Of course it had to be blue!  It's now parked in the cardboard city in our basement!

Some other highlights from this month:
-Seeing cousin Baby Lexi on Tuesdays at Grandma's while Mom worked
-Playing with Summer, Allie, and Edyn a few times this month
-Having lots of dinners for Easter get-togethers
-Going to cousin Macy's birthday party
-Going to Sheldon's Easter egg hunt & having one at home (more on that later!)
-Going to LaunchPad Children's Museum in Sioux City with Hayley (Hayee), Merritt (Mert), & McCoy (Poy)--more on that later, too!

You are definitely growing up, little girl!  Some days I get frustrated by how stubborn you are (totally didn't get that from your Mom!), but I know someday it will serve you well.  Love you!
