22 months with Lydia have come and gone! Here's what she's been up to lately:

| We are starting to like craft time! Stickers, coloring, and painting are our favorites, as long as we don't get our hands too dirty! |

I can't honestly say I know how much Lydia weighs this month. Somewhere around 26 1/2-27 pounds, most likely. We've officially put all of the 18 month clothes away, and are settled into 24 months with some 2T thrown in there. We're in size 5 shoe, also, and many days Lydia asks to play with her shoe bin :-)

Lydia is acting more like a 2 year old everyday! She's definitely wanting to be more independent. Lydia likes to pick out her own pajamas and her own snacks now. It's kind of a game, but I guess she's learning decision-making! We also hear the word, "No," quite frequently and see Lydia flop on the floor when she doesn't get the answer she wants. Lydia is saying more words all the time, but I think I'm probably the best translator of "Lydia Lingo" yet! She hasn't lost any of her energetic ways and usually runs from one activity to the next. As far as sleeping goes, it's the same old story. She'll sleep in from anywhere until 6:30-7:30 in the morning, and then nap anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. She'll always be a mystery :-)

Lydia's likes this month:
Pizza ("bia"), shoes, her winter hat/having a hood on, playing with leaves, Kindermusik, playing with other kids, baby dolls, sleeping with George or baby, Minnie, coloring and stickers, going to the furniture store, looking at pictures, singing Sunday School songs (she now knows the actions for "Zaccheus" and "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands"), having tea parties with George & other friends.

Lydia's dislikes this month:
Having her hands dirty/gritty, Mommy leaving her at home, the first 20 minutes after naptime (always crabby!), and soup, to name a few.
Highlights from the past month:
-Sept. 30- watched Asher play flag football while playing with Seth and Macy. Lydia still talks about "ShaSha" playing "ball!"
-Oct. 9- Our little family visited Pumpkinland!
-Oct. 14- Went out to eat with Grandma TC & Great-Grandma VL and picked out fabric for Lydia's big girl quilt
-Oct. 17- Went to Great-Grandma Moss' 90th birthday party and ate with extended family/played with cousins
-Oct. 20-Rode with Papa in the combine while Mommy drove grain cart
-Oct. 25- Carved a pumpkin...Lydia hated the squishy insides!
-Oct. 28- had a Halloween costume party at Kindermusik!
